Shamila Arif, from Year 10, successfully secured herself a place on a trip to the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, to represent young people rights / human rights at a committee meeting in June. She was 1 of just 6 young people from across England to win a place, and to get it, she competed against approx 1500 others. The trip was organised by the Childrens Rights Alliance for England. There are a set of photos taken by Shamila in, and around, Geneva HERE - looks like she had a great time! |

We are delighted that Uzma Zahid, from Year 9, has gained a place as one of the twleve Bradford students on the trip to take part in the Space Olympics, in Russia, in October 2008. Uzma won through after a tough presentation on 'Life on Mars', and can look forward to a place in the International Space Olympics, which is an annual competition for young people aged from 14 to 18. The events are: Mathematics, Physics Computer science and a space related project. Competition is notoriously tough! Between now and October, Uzma has to raise £1000 in sponsorship to fund the visit. If you are interested in helping her to achieve her space dream, please contact Noreen Khan or Gerard Liston at the school, on 01274 401140. |

We are proud to announce the official opening of our new Post-16 block, which has been built over the last few months just outside the colleges' main reception. It has brand new furnishings inside, comprehensive ICT facilities, and is fully wheelchair accessible from outside. |
